FASHION HAUL: LIFE IS SHORT... GO SHOPPING!

Lately I’ve been convincing myself to avoid the shops at all costs and attempt to save. I thought I’d just browse the shops instead but… Window shopping is like tempting an addict when their drug of choice is fashion. So inevitably I did make a few too many guilty purchases over the last month or so and it’s fair to say that my laser card has gotten a bit of abuse lately. And of course I couldn’t just stop at clothes, I’ve also bought a few makeup and beauty products so keep an eye out on Running In Heels for my next beauty haul (subscribe for updates). I always love these posts because it lets me see what’s out on the high street before actually going there. The haul features 15 pieces (I couldn’t stop at one or two) from River Island, Primark, New Look, H&M and New Look. So here we go…

CLARISONIC MIA 2... WORTH THE SPLURGE?

The Clarisonic is one of the most raved about skincare devices and claims to ‘transform’ your skin by using it just 1 minute a day. Before buying it I had been eyeing it up for years and I really wanted to see if it would become my holy grail product or if it wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. So after watching countless reviews online I decided to take the plunge and invest in it and let me tell you, it is not just a purchase… it is an investmentThe Mia 2 will set you back €199..! Yup that’s quite a lot of money for a cleanser, so believe me I would have been like a demon if it didn’t work… thankfully it does and my devil horns didn’t emerge... So what was my experience with the Mia 2?

H&M ❤ COACHELLA

If you’re not already familiar with what a super big deal Coachella is every year, basically it’s the hottest festival on the planet..!! The Spring festival is where all the celebs call home for one of two weekends in April (although I highly doubt they’re roughing it up in tents like us regular folk). For us it’s wellies and guaranteed rain, for them it’s blazing sunshine and amazing outfits! Even though we’re not attendees at Coachella we still tune in every year to see who is there, and more importantly what they’re wearing!!! This year we’re going to get a peek at what these gorgeously tanned bodies might be wearing for the occasion. How? H&M have announced a collaboration with Coachella on a clothing collection for the event and it’s hitting stores worldwide on March 26th... the countdown is on!

PAUL COSTELLOE: JEWELS IN THE MIST

With every Tom, Dick and Harry flocking to the streets to celebrate all things Irish for Paddy’s Day (or Patty’s Day as our American friends like to mistakenly say), I thought I’d fly the flag for an Irish fashion designer... Paul Costelloe. Let’s face it, when it comes to fashion, compared to Paris, Milan, London or New York, Ireland is only a drop in the designer ocean. Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean to say that we don’t have some talented home-grown fashionistas of our own.

HAUTE SO FABULOUS PARTY

This week I was lucky enough to get an invite from Rebecca at Haute So Fabulous for her blog party - celebrating HSF turning two.
How did I get on, I hear you ask?

STEAL HER STYLE - KENDALL JENNER @ LONDON FASHION WEEK

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past week, you will have been bombarded with images of Kendall Jenner’s attendance at the TopShop show for London Fashion week. And since then the flood gates have opened and ‘Trench Coat Mania’ has ensued! Of course trench coats are always a winter favourite but coming into Spring 2015 they are bigger than ever! I’ve never seen so many camel colour coats walking the streets! And don’t get me started on those pastel blue trousers… I’m in love! Whether you’re a lover or a loather of the Kardashian/Jenner bunch, you must admit the girl looks great – so effortless, so classic.
I was able to recreate the look for under €145 by picking similar affordable pieces from Missguided, Topshop, Shop Bop and Boohoo and here’s how they look….
